Moser School of Dance & Gymnastics instructors Debbie Moser, of Dyersville, and Bernita Moser, of Strawberry Point, attended the 2019 USTA National Congress and Clinics Sept. 27-29 in Peoria, Ill.
Coaches and judges from across the United States attended the three-day congress, which consisted of technical meetings, workshops in sub-beginner through elite levels, coaches certification classes, judges courses, rule proposals, awards and recognitions and the annual Congress meeting.
All coaches at the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastics are safety certified, USTA certified, background checked, Safe Sport certified, Dance Educators of America tested and passed. The School has been teaching area students for 40-plus years in dance and gymnastics.
Bernita Moser is on the Ethics Board, Carmen Moser Payne, of Edgewood, Kattie Payne Schulte and Luka Marie Schulte, of Strawberry Point, head up the competition team. Debbie Moser was the USTA President for 18 years, is on the USTA Technical Board and has been the State of Iowa USTA Chair for six years.
Over the past 40-plus years, the Moser School has coached numerous national and state champions in dance and gymnastics. Their students have performed in six overseas dance and gymnastics tours. They performed in the Indianapolis 500 100th anniversary celebration and perform in various and dance and gymnastics recitals throughout the year.
The Moser coaches were named National Coaches of the Year in 2008 and Iowa Coaches of the Year in 2009.
The Moser School teaches boys in girls ages three through adult in tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet and gymnastics. The School has studio locations in Manchester, Dyersville, Monticello, Independence, Strawberry Point, Elkader, Clermont, Guttenberg and Edgewood.
