Two first-half goals by Independence proved to be the difference as the West Delaware boys’ soccer team lost to the Mustangs, 2-0, in their Class 2A-3 contest at Independence, May 15.

After re-setting at halftime, the Hawks were able to advance the ball into Independence’s defensive half. And while the Hawks came up short, they improved from a 7-0 loss to the Mustangs earlier this year.
