City officials were on the radio and in the newspaper last week, saying that Manchester’s citizens “need to be educated” about the City’s proposal to spend $2.6 million on a new city shop. In my opinion, that is an insult to the citizens’ intelligence. We are educated, and we know that the current administration has taken us $13 million into debt, and wants to take us to over $15 million in debt. We also know that $2.6 million is far too much for a city maintenance building.

Perhaps the Mayor, Council, and City Manager need to get educated in fiscal responsibility and stop wasting the taxpayer’s money. Blame yourselves, not us.
