Scott Michael Arnold, 42, formerly of Oskaloosa passed away unexpectedly Dec. 26, 2021 near his home in Madison, Wis.

Scott was born April 3, 1979 to Don Arnold and Sheri Arnold in Cherokee. He was a graduate of Oskaloosa Senior High School in 1997 and received a BA from the University of Iowa in 2001. He studied foreign language in Madrid and London.

Scott was the Regional Organizing Director for Southwest Wisconsin at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. He was an advocate for and made change. He encouraged others to believe through his trademark positivity, determination, energy and creativity. Since 2015, Scott was known for advancing democracy and equality in a variety of roles in Wisconsin, Nevada, Utah, New York and Iowa. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Scott was always the favorite cousin making sure everyone was having a good time at family gatherings. But most of all, Scott loved all things Madonna.

Scott is survived by parents, Don Arnold, Ryan, and Sheri Arnold (Todd Parker), Oskaloosa; sister Jennifer Freeman (Jamie) of Akron, Ohio and their children Anna and Owen, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins who are forever grateful to have had Scott in their lives.

The body has been cremated and donations may be made to the Coulee Region Immigration Scholarship. Scott was very proud of the work his team did to establish this scholarship fund for immigrants to the Coulee region of Wisconsin.
