Beware of COVID-19 vaccine scams
As the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine gets closer, be aware that scammers are trying to take advantage of vulnerability through this pandemic.
Do not respond to solicitations about vaccines or provide any type of financial or personal identification information via a phone call, text message, email or computer pop-up. Scammers may even tell you that you can “reserve” your COVID-19 vaccine by prepayment or offer you a prepaid gift card in exchange for the “vaccine” they have.
Once a COVID-19 vaccine is approved and available to the public, there will be clear communication from your trusted federal and state agencies, as well as your local healthcare partners.
