Ed-Co superintendent not selected for central Iowa Administrator position

A central Iowa school district won’t be hiring away Edgewood-Colesburg Community School District’s top administrator.

Superintendent Rob Busch was one of three finalists for the principal/superintendent position of the Melcher-Dallas Community School District. However, officials with the 343-student district announced Feb. 28 the hiring of Scott Bridges for the position.

Bridges currently serves as Prairie City-Monroe High School principal, according to a press release from Melcher-Dallas.

Bridges previously served as band director at Melcher-Dallas, according to the release.

Busch has been Ed-Co’s superintendent since 2013 and took over the duties of the elementary school principal in 2015. Ed-Co has 529 pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students.
