Authorities: Sex offender repeatedly entered Manchester school

Authorities said a sex offender recently was charged for repeatedly entering a Manchester elementary school.

Christopher M. Davis, 26, of Manchester, is charged in Iowa District Court of Delaware County with an area/activity violation as a sex offender. He has a court hearing set for Friday, Dec. 28.

According to court documents, Davis recently was questioned by investigators about walking his nephew to school. He allegedly admitted to walking into Lambert Elementary School three times in September and October “without the permission of the school administrator” and in violation of rules because he is a registered sex offender.

The Iowa Sex Offender Registry states that Davis was convicted in Delaware County of lascivious acts with a child in 2011. It states that he was 18 at the time of the incident, and his victim was a girl age 14 to 17.
