Clear Lake ran away from the 11 team field as they led by eight strokes, 315-323 over second place Pella at the close of action on Friday. Day two saw Clear Lake shoot an outstanding score of 293 to claim the Class 3A crown by a whopping 19 strokes over second place Pella.

The Hawks team score of 332 on Friday left them in ninth place, five strokes ahead of Spirit Lake and six strokes ahead of last place Dallas Center Grimes.
Saturday was a much better day for the Hawks as they carded a team score of 320, the fourth best on the 11 team field on the final day.
Scoring for the Hawks on Saturday were Eric Crawford 78, Austin Cole 80, Chris Crawford 88, Jake Zebuhr 78, Ben Cole 84, and Kyle Morris 85.
The Hawks were a young team this year with only two seniors Ben Cole and Eric Crawford. Those two will be hard to replace as they were the number one and two men all year long for the Hawks.
However, Coach Tom Fetter has a lot of confidence in his underclassmen with some very nice players coming up through the ranks.
Look for the Hawks to make some noise around this time next season.
