Marcia Funke, a senior at West Delaware signed a letter of intent with North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) in Mason City last Monday to run track. Funke is a sprint runner and also a hurdler.
“We are looking forward to having Marcia on our team,” said Teresa Shaw, assistant track coach/sports information director at NIACC. “She will be a great asset to not only the track team but to the college as well.”
“This a great opportunity for her and it is exciting to see her get to the next level,” commented Doug Engel, WD track coach.
Funke added, “I am very excited and glad that my track career hasn’t ended here at West Delaware and gets to continue.” |
